Overview: Learn more about Central European University Business School's three MBA degree options, including the 11-month, full-time MBA program, a weekend Executive MBA Program, and the highly-ranked IMM Program, which was named by the Financial Times as the most international executive MBA program in Europe.
CEU Business School has recently initiated a Leadership Scholars Program which is designed for talented, high-potential leaders who are committed to enhancing growth and prosperity in developing regions of the world. The award covers full tuition and a stipend for living expenses as well as study materials for the full-time, one-year MBA Program.
Last but not least, CEU Business School also offers a unique international learning experience in New York City for its full-time and executive MBA program students. "Leadership and Enterprise in a Global City", a 3-credit optional course will be offered in NYC for the first time on April 27-May 6, 2012.
Lecturer Bio: MBA Recruitment Coordinator, Davit Mikeladze
Mr. Mikeladze studied law at Batumi State University (Georgia) and Political Science at Central European University (Budapest, Hungary). He holds master's degrees in both disciplines. He is an author of several publications in the fields of ethnic relations in post-Soviet countries, democratization and European enlargement. He has been a speaker at various conferences organized by Miami University, NDI, Freidrich Ebert and Open Society Foundations.
Besides his academic accomplishments, Mr. Mikeladze has been active in business field as well. In 2008-09 he worked as an executive consultant focusing on project management business sector of the company Stamford Global. In 2009 Mr. Mikeladze joined CEU Business School and since then has been responsible for recruitment and admission for MBA programs. Currently he is enrolled in Executive MBA program of CEU Business School.

Public Lecture: Ruling Parties of the South Caucasus in Comparison 04/26/11 Public Lecture: Ruling Parties of the South Caucasus in Comparison

Overview: The talk will address the formation, growth, and in some cases collapse of the ruling political parties of Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. By examining cohesion among party elites and by examining the various other tools which parties use, different trajectories of the parties over the past 20 years will be presented. The dissertation addresses the issues of democratization and the consolidation of political institutions, and examines these topics in the South Caucasus where these processes are still underway. This talk draws from interviews with political actors, election returns, internal party documents, and archival research.
Lecturer Bio: Eli Feiman is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Political Science at Brown University. He is currently an IREX-IARO Fellow in Azerbaijan and is conducting field research for a dissertation on political party development in the South Caucasus. He received an MA in Political
Science from Brown University (2008) and holds a BA in Slavic Languages and Literature from Yale University (2002). He research interests include the formation and consolidation of political
institutions, patronage and clientelism, informal politics, and durable authoritarianism. At Brown, he served as a teaching assistant for courses on post-Soviet politics, ethnic conflict, and political
ethics.

Public Lecture: Teacher Profession Status in Azerbaijan 04/11/11 Public Lecture: Teacher Profession Status in Azerbaijan

Overview: This research study on teacher profession status in Azerbaijan is conducted by Center for Innovations in Education based on the survey hold by "Sigma" Development and International Partnership Research Center. This survey covers viewpoints of experienced teachers and young professionals. Research investigations highlight the issues of salary of teachers, motivation of teachers and pre - service education of students. The statistical analysis of the research concludes that the teaching profession is highly respected profession in the society and it seems more attractive than the others. In general, the outcomes of the study confirm the importance of policy on financial and social support of teachers that will ensure the quality of teaching by attestation and accreditation, and will provide resources for development of professional teachers.
Lecturer Bio: Elmina Kazimzade is Policy Research Program Director at the Centre for Innovation in Education in Azerbaijan. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from the Ukrainian Institute of Psychology. Since 1995 she has been working in various international education programs under the auspices of UNICEF, OSI, and the World Bank. She has held the position of Education Director at OSI for more than seven years. Elmina juggles her time between administration, teaching and research. Elmina is a Faculty member of Applied Psychology Department at Baku State University. She is a co-author of a textbook in applied education studies which is used in the national pre-service teacher training program. Her recent publications on international comparative education are related to analysis of educational policy development and challenges in countries which are in transition.
Nigar Ismayilzada works as a Project Coordinator at Center for Innovations in Education. She is a Muskie Graduate Program Alumnus in Education and graduated from Alabama A&M University with specialization in educational management, policymaking. She has MA in Language Studies from Azerbaijan University of Languages. Nigar has worked in the field of development and administration in higher education, exchange programs during her fellowship. Also, formerly she has worked and volunteered for various organizations on the sector of youth, education and community development, and managed several small projects on higher education development.
